Course Description

This program is appropriate for experienced agency and company personnel
as well as for people with little experience who are motivated and
eager to learn about commercial property insurance.
The instructor takes a practical approach to
property loss exposures and the applicable insurance coverage with a
detailed exploration of the ISO Building and Personal Coverage Form and
Causes of Loss Forms. These forms are the
foundation of commercial property insurance

 

The program will begin with a description of
common property loss exposures and continues with detailed policy
language providing insurance coverage for buildings and personal
property.Commercial Property Coverage and Forms will be scrutinized with
particular attention paid to coverage contract design and policy
structure

The instructor will examine the property insuring agreements and exclusions including: what property is covered, not covered and
limited as well has how coverage is added and extended by the insuring
agreement and exceptions to its exclusions. The discussion continues with a detailed
examination of covered causes of loss and how the Commercial Property
Policy applies policy limits and deductibles.

In concluding the seminar recommends approaches to determine how much
coverage to purchase considering various valuation options such as
Actual Cash Value, Replacement Cost, Agreed Value, Inflation Guard and
other techniques.
The instructor will discuss the advantage of blanket insurance,
reporting forms and pertinent subjects such as co-insurance
