Interesting to see, as disclosed in the article “Storm Clouds May be Ahead for Personal Lines, Says Superintendent Cioppa,” in the May 17, 2019 edition of The Standard, that legislators in Maine are contemplating making boat insurance mandatory  If the bill were to pass, it would make the Pine Tree State the only one east of the Mississippi, and one of only three nationally, to have such a requirement, according to the article.
