The following policies do not apply to webinar registrations using a coupon code from a Webinar Sponsor. If you need to cancel a registration that used a coupon code from a Webinar Sponsor, please email Sarah Hart so that we may ensure that the coupon is credited back to the sponsor’s allotment.
Cancellation of Paid Class or Course Registrations
If you decide to cancel your registration for a webinar or in-person class or multi-session course, you must notify us by email to shart@insurancelibrary.org. This will be the only way to assure you receive the appropriate refund, and also may help someone else get into a class if there is a waiting list. Non-attendance does not constitute cancellation of your registration for a webinar or in-person class or multi-session course–you must notify us by email to shart@insurancelibrary.org.
Refunds Will Be Given as Follows:
All Webinars (including stand-alone classes and licensing exam preparation courses, designation courses, and other multi-session courses)
- If you give us notice of cancellation by email at least 48 hours before the scheduled starting time of the webinar (or first session in a multi-session virtual course)–100% refund.
- If, however, you give us notice of cancellation by email less than 48 hours before the scheduled starting time of the webinar (or first session in a multi-session course)–100% refund, less a $25 processing fee.
- If, however, you give us notice of cancellation by email after the first session of a multi-session virtual course–a pro rata refund based upon the total number of sessions and the number of remaining sessions, less a $50 processing fee.
Single-Session In-Person Class
- If you give us notice of cancellation by email at least 96 hours before the scheduled starting time of the class–100% refund, less a $25 processing fee.
- If, however, you give us notice of cancellation by email less than 96 hours before the scheduled starting time of the class–50% refund.
Multi-Session In-Person Courses (including licensing exam preparation courses, designation courses, and other multi-session in-person courses)
- If you give us notice of cancellation by email at least 96 hours before the scheduled starting time of the first session of a multi-session course–100% refund, less a $25 processing fee.
- If, however, you give us notice of cancellation by email less than 96 hours before the scheduled starting time of the first session of a multi-session course–100% refund, less a $50 processing fee.

Textbook Returns
If you decide to return a textbook purchased from the Library, you must notify us by email to shart@insurancelibrary.org so we can determine if the textbook is eligible for return. If the textbook is eligible, we will notify you by email.
- Textbooks sold for use in connection with a particular class or course (either virtual or in-person) are not eligible for return or refund after the start of the class or first session of a multi-session course (even if you are eligible for a full or partial refund for the class or course itself.)
- Other textbooks are eligible for return and a refund, less a $5 per handling fee, but they must be received by the Library in unmarked and resalable condition, with no signs of use or wear and tear. There will be no refund for books that do not satisfy this condition.
- Books that are otherwise eligible for a return and refund per the above conditions must be received at the Library no later than 30 days from when the Library sends you notice that the textbook is eligible for return.
- After that 30-day period, a textbook is no longer eligible for return or refund.
- If the Library receives a textbook after 30 days, you may within 14 days of our sending you notice that we received a book that is not eligible for a refund either pick up the book at the Library or pay for the shipping costs to have it sent to you. After that 14-day period, neither option will be available to you.
