Few insurance topics create more confusion than Certificates of Insurance and Additional Insured endorsements. Certificate holders often expect protections the certificates simply can’t provide, insureds hold their own misconceptions about what coverage applies, and a single improperly issued certificate can expose an agency to liability. This webinar walks through what a Certificate of Insurance can and can’t do, examines the ACORD 25 field by field, and reviews state certificate laws.

The class also explores issues related to Additional Insureds: how the endorsements have evolved since 2004, and which ones agents encounter most, primary and non-contributory language, and how umbrella policies fit into the picture.

Participants will leave with a clear, practical framework for issuing certificates correctly and advising clients with confidence.
