Course Description

This webinar will offer participants a practical, in-depth look at the complex insurance issues that arise in tenant-landlord relationships. Students will examine improvements and betterments, ordinance and law considerations, and the unique challenges that arise when a tenant is responsible for insuring the building, including how to protect the building owner’s interest. The session also covers the Leasehold Interest Coverage Form, addressing tenant’s lease interest, bonus payments, and prepaid rent.

On the liability side, participants will explore contractual liability under the CGL, insured contract analysis, and additional insured requirements for managers and lessors of premises, as well as primary and non-contributory obligations and waiver of subrogation language and endorsements.
