Workers’ Compensation (WC) laws have evolved from early common law defenses to today’s principles of exclusive remedy and absolute liability, ensuring injured workers receive benefits regardless of fault. This webinar will provide an overview of the workers’ compensation system examining the differences between monopolistic and competitive state funds, defining common policy terms, and determining employment status, as well as examining benefits. There will be some discussion regarding premium and rating plans as well as factors to consider when choosing rating plans.
